Four years’ Performance of LGE&RDD (2018-22)

DEVELOPMENTAL:

Urban Development Sector (MAs) – FY 2018 to 2022

Over all Achievement Urban Development Sector MAs for the Last Four Years:

• Procured 25 Number of Arm Roll Trucks along with 225 Number Containers for 25 TMAs in Merge areas for solid waste management.
• Procured 25 numbers of Compactors/vehicles along with 375 Containers for 25 Nos TMAs in Merge Districts for solid waste management.
• Installed 748 Nos of Solar street Lights in Merge Districts/ Sub-Divisions Main Bazars.
• Constructed Footpath of 1000Rft, Street Pavements of 2800Rft, 4 Nos passenger waiting Sheds, 2 Nos DWSS in District Khyber.
•  Completed Street Pavement of 25000Rft in District North Waziristan.
• Constructed commercial market comprising of 14 Nos. Shops, 19 Nos. DWSS, 01 No. Group Latrine, Street Pavement of 8000Rft in District Orakzai.

• Constructed 1 No Suspension Bridge with a span of 170Rft
• Constructed 4 Nos Janazagah in Darazinda

LEGISLATIVE:

Legal or Legislative Reforms/Achievements:

• Local Government Act-2013 was extended to the Merged Areas.
• Approved the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa VC/NC Rules of Business, 2022.
• Revised the KP VC/NC Model By-Laws 2022 (Conduct of meetings).
• Notified the KP Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Rules 2021.

INSTITUTIONAL:

Institutional Reforms/Achievements:

• Creation of 1,251 posts of Officers/Officials for establishment of Tehsil level offices of Assistant Directors LG&RD for efficient public service delivery.
• Transparent and merit-based recruitment of 583 Village/Neighbourhood Council Secretaries in Merged Areas.
• Implementation of Bio-metric attendance system.
• Implementation of File Tracking System.
• Implementation of Human Resource Management System.
• Re-structured LG formation at Tehsil level including Merged Areas.
• Trained Nikah Registrar and Secretaries VC/NC on pre-marriage counselling in 08 districts of KP (Phase-I).
• Improved the civil registration of vital statistics (CRVS) in coordination with NADRA – phase-wise conversion from offline to online mode for birth registration
• Launched Special Birth Registration Campaign for registration of children up to 18 years (enhanced registration from 17% to 85%)

OTHERS INITIATIVES:

• Launched awareness campaigns for Clean & Green Pakistan through VCs/NCs.
• Special cleanliness campaign in tourist sites in Hazara and Malakand divisions.
• Hired the services of 6,000 janitors for sanitation purposes in VC/NC’s across the province.
• Completed Plantation of 503,625 plants during the Monsoon Plantation Drive, 2021.
• Established plants nurseries in each districts covering 39 kanal of lands for free distribution amongst the citizen to promote tree plantation campaign of the government.
• Celebrated the ‘’Plant for Pakistan Day” successfully on 22nd February, 2022.
• Plantation of 150 plants each VC/NC in the Spring Plantation Drive, 2022.
• Developed online database of movable & immovable properties for public view and scrutiny.
• Carried out public awareness sessions at VC/NC level against the Polio, Dengue, cholera and COVID-19.

Supported the Government in collecting data and facilitating the citizen under the Ehsas Cash program, Sasta Atta Ghee Program etc.
